Theological Development

Whether you’ve been involved in a campus ministry, or attended a Christian university, you’ve already dug deep into the Word of God. In our ministry on campus, we’re constantly drawing on our own knowledge of the Bible, introducing students to Jesus by reading Scripture with them. Many students will read the Bible for the very first time with us. That’s a spiritual privilege, and a high responsibility. We need to be clear about what it means to follow Jesus—as Peter reminds us, “If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God” (1 Peter 4:11, NIV).

To lay a strong foundation, not just for your work on campus, but for lifelong ministry, the first of our three weekly cohorts focuses on biblical and theological development. We’ll look at the full breadth of Scripture together, and talk through how to teach the overarching story of the Bible to students who have never read it before. Plus, you’ll get the chance to go deeper in what you already know: cultural and historical context, how the church has read the Bible over the centuries, and how Scripture speaks to all of life today.

You’ll see God changing students through the power of his Word as it continues to change you.
